Horror is a huge genre. People keep making horror films. Over and over. Just keep making them. For God’s sake, would you people stop!

Oh, sorry about that. But it is impossible to keep up with the huge number of films in this genre. There are, of course, many terrible ones, but horror gives filmmakers a chance to say something interesting about the human condition by looking at our fears. Also, It can just be fun.
